Remarks
I had chosen the top 10 NIT colleges according to NIRF ranking. Since I am a general category my marks were not sufficient enough to choose what college I want so I had to depend upon Josaa choice or else I wanted to take a admission in South Indian NIT colleges. But NIT silchar has never disappointed my expectations of engineering college. It has been providing us what ever we want I don't say it's the best college but you will definitely admire it once you got admission here
Course Curriculum Overview
From my childhood onwards I have a dream to become a automobile engineer, so I have chosen this stream. All our college staff are PhD Scholars and most of them have a experience more than 15 years. They just teach us Topic very clearly just like you were in a school and all the staff are super cool and student friendly and about exams if you follow the lectures properly and revise them regularly exam can be cleared easily
Internships Opportunities
I have never been to internships till now but my seniors said that there are many internships available in our college and they offer a stipend around 10k and our college students had done a drone and buggy car with high efficiency
Placement Experience
I think from 6th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements there are many companies which visit our campus but we should maintain our GPA above 8.5 since I am mechanical engineer I wanted to clear GATE examination so that I can do M.Tech
Fees and Financial Aid
For a student whose family income is more than 5 lakhs they should pay 80,000 fees for people having their family income in-between 1lakh to 5 lakhs students have to pay 27,000 for the people having income less than 1 lakh they will avail a tuition fee waiver of 80,000 it means government itself pays your fees and also students of sc/st can avail lot of scholarship schemes
Campus Life
There are many fests in our colleges and many branch fests where you can prove your skills all these fests were conducted by students itself and our college has Asia's largest library and there are many student welfare groups like gymkhana and many other clubs where you can build your skills
