Entrance Preview
I got an admission into this college through my JEE-MAINS score. I had a score of 125 and the reason i took this college was because how it had always been famous for the school like discipline that the college faculty follows for better results, if not the best.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course followed is of SPPU. However the college takes its own initiatives to follow prelim and reprelim exams that help the students to prepare atleast 30-50% of the portion not leaving too much pressure on the students just a day or two before the actual university exams.
Internships Opportunities
The college does not provide an internship due to the limitations of the university timeline. However, if proper papers are submitted they do allow us a little over a months leave to complete our internships.
Placement Experience
The placements for mechanical department are average though that has been the case through out the mechanical sector. The college however takes extra efforts to get the students prepared for placements and getting companies (Not all core) for placements through their own approach.
College Events
The college comes under the STES that is the biggest organiser of college fests in pune named sinhgad karandak. Artists ranging from farhan akhtar to the chainsmokers have come and performed at the college fest that is really a fest to be at in terms of the volumes of people that turn up for the event
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are reasonable for a general category student as compared to other colleges. It ranges from 95000-98000 annually inclusive of the tuition fees and all the rest. The hostel and mess fess however are seperate and are not that costly either. Field trips etc are not paid for unless its a trip that college undertakes further away from the city or state.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does not provide any scholarships though is does provide a fee exemption for the reserved category students. Students with agro based background were given exemptions too though in our 3rd year when the drought hit.
Campus Life
The campus life is huge. The campus itself consists of around 5-6 more colleges if not more. The ground is huge with all university cricket matches happening at the same. Places to eat nearby are countless and at affordable prices with good quality and all types of food. The connectivity to kothrud also helps providing all remaining services nearby.
