NIT KURUKSHETRA, A Good College To Consider

Eligibility of course is nothing, you get an alloted course on the basis of your jee mains marks. Application form for admission can be obtained from the ccn department of nit kurukshetra. There are no such application fees but yeah you do have to pay atleast 36k to attend counselling. I availed obc ncl hometown benefit which is great if you are from a reserved category. One improvement i would like to be included. Seat reservation fees should be less, 36000 is a lot of amount in the starting.

Exams are prescheduled during the starting of the year for the upcoming academic year. Academic calendar can be downloaded from the institute website. Exams were not much difficult. If a student studies daily for 2-3 hours, exams will be very easy for him. Except some subjects like machine design in mechanical and pie branches. MD require a lot of practice to score good.

I have just got one internship as a marketing analyst with 5000 stipend. Most big companies come for internship with job profiles as sde, backend developer, frontend developer, dev ops developer. In core companies come with profile as business analyst intern, trainee consultant intern, operations intern. In core sector stipend is generally around 15k. Projects are also available if you don't get internship you can do project under any teacher of your department.

Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th sem in btech. Most big companies visit our college amazon, Microsoft, google, Goldman sachs, Salesforce, hero, Maruti Suzuki, bajaj and so many more. For most of the big companies, the highest package is above 25lacs and average package is between 10-15 lacs for non core companies and 5-10 lac pa for core companies. In cs, it placement percentage is 80-90%. In all other branches its in the range if 50-70%. My plan is to get campus placement.

Right now i have not got any scholarship. I do get financial assistance every year of almost 40000 rs because i fall in the 1-5 lac income category students. I've got one internship in a startup that is offering me 5000 per month and its starting from Jan 2022

There are a lot of social groups in our college for students which are also run by students. Like mechsoc society of mechanical engineers, technobyte for cs and IT students, infra society for civil engineers, icell our entrepreneurship society, freaks and aahwan our dramatics society, shiksha our society for teaching poor children, rooh our college ngo society

Facilities in our hostel rooms are quite simple. We get a desk, a chair, a bed without any mattress or pillow, one almirah. Thats it. Everything you have to bring your own other than these. Shared bathroom for a whole floor. The meal was not much good. But it's hostel life so you can't be thinking that you will get home like food. But the food is eatable though not much tasty. Registration was quite simple in our first yr we had to pay 10000 rs as hostel security. We just had to pay this security only at the beginning of our freshmen yr. Hostel seat rent is 3300 for triple seater, 4400 for double seater, 5500 for single-seater.
