Entrance Preview
I was selected through AIEEE. I was ranked 305 in state. The reason for selecting my college was very obvious that it was a Government college. And my first consideration was, it must have good placement record as it's a government institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
Seriously telling, I was very unhappy curriculum of my course because it was based on old syllabus and it hadn't been updated for very long. There was nothing very great to talk regarding academics of my college during my time.
Internships Opportunities
No, our college does not provide internship. I had to arrange my internship on my own. I did my internship on Highway Engineering under G.H.V. India Private Limited and no stipend was paid during internship.
Placement Experience
I already have mentioned, it was a newly opened college, and even bad was, there occurred no placement at my time in college. Me and my classmates and even our seniors had suffered from no placement and job opportunities. Apart from my trade, Civil Engineering, other trades had good placements.
College Events
Our College Events were Twask Tech Fest - Technical as well cultural festival, Decibel - Cultural festival, Educational Conferences. I had shown active participation in each and every event and tech fest of our college was very popular in my state. Student from other states too participate in this event.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, my education was fully aided by scholarship as I got selected as a tuition-fee waiver student and I was very fortunate and thankful to MHRD and my college for awarding me scholarship.
Exam Structure
Exam days were very hectic, we had to give two exams on a single day and six exams in three days during sessional exams. And even worse was the schedule of practical and final exams. There was no time gap between exams and practical exams. I just want to forget those times, but that was a big part of my college life.
Admission
For admission, I had first gone through the prospectus of my college and then I'd applied directly for admission and I got selected through counselling process. I got selected as a tuition fee waiver student. I had chosen Civil Engineering as my professional course.
Faculty
It was a newly opened college during my time and there was a very much lack of faculty in my college. And one more thing was, the little-bit faculty we were having was not experienced at all. I have suffered a lot because of that.
