Remarks

There is a lot of competition among students. During my time cut off for computer science, BTech was 97.4 percentile in jee mains. There were lot of students approx 1000 students were having percentile Above 90 and mainly it was very tough to get the branch of the students choice. I don't want any improvement as it was the best

Course Curriculum Overview

The semester system was there and exams were nearly after 2 months of studies. Exams were quite tough sometimes and it was moderate sometimes. There was relative marking so it was quite competitive to get a good cgpa.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internships and placement opportunities in Thapar. Thapar is considered a tier1 college in India in terms of placements. The faculty is quite intelligent and helpful. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Apple etc visit our college.

Placement Experience

College placements are very good. Mostly 90 percentage of students get placed in a reputed company with a very good salary. The highest package is 43 lakhs. My plan is to do MS in the USA after doing Btech from Thapar.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were quite high but there were many scholarships for the deserving students. Top 10 Students from each branch would get relaxation from the tuition fees which was quite high and also there were scholarships for the deserving students who were not able to afford but were very intelligent in academic performance.

Campus Life

I think college life is the best life. There were many fests and functions. Sports were available on the campus and students enjoy themselves a lot in Thapar. There were many social and technical groups. Also, there were many competitions.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are made very properly in an organised way. Mess food is quite tasty and delicious. There were many items available during breakfast, lunch and dinner, hostel parties were also organised very well.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Why I chose LPU ?

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
