Remarks

The infrastructure of college is not good at all.There is no ground in the college and not too sure about the lab instruments that they work or not.

I took admission on the basis of JEE mains my JEE maims score was 106.30.I opted this college because i want to do Btech and my father wanted that i should go for B.Sc so because of less fee structure i have to came here.

College Events

Well I'm new to this college so i have nothing to share about the events.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship and no loan facility and that is not required because fees of college is very low.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 80:20 for boys to girls. Extracurricular activities are good, labs are almost OK. No competition for debates and robotics.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is just OK. We have two msts before the final exams.

Admission

I got admission here in the basis of JEE mains exams. I filled counseling form of HPTU on the the basis of Mains and then getting called in counseling i came here and took admission.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took civil because is good and all teachers are on there post and are very good. Civil engineering plays very important role in construction of buildings and dams etc. Exams are mostly held in September November and December for odd sem and for Even sem it is feb April and may.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there. All about jngec

I applied to all the Government colleges and all the colleges that come under hptu and choose this college because it is considered to be best for government civil engineering course and I had the option to choose any college but I choose this because it is a good college for the admission we have to give entrance test or on the basis of JEE mains so after the admission test there is merit list and the counselling and you get the admission letter that's all it's it's a very easy process you just have to score there is a lot of competition but yeah you can get admission not easily but not that tough...Read More
