Remarks

The student should pass 12th with 50% marks is the minimum eligibility criteria for BA with English hon. The college has a very limited number of seats so they shortlist students with the highest marks obtained in the board exam. Application forms were available on the college website and university website.

I choose this course because I want to make a career as an English teacher. Average on every 7th student there is one faculty. Around half of faculty members are p.hd holders and the rest of faculty members still pursuing p.hd. It is not about only qualifications they have good knowledge also. Faculty members are friendly and their teaching method is also good.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In this college fees of BA in English honors is the lowest as compared to other courses. My course fees were around 65000 rupees per year. Hostel fees were 80000 per year. The cost of the study is not much expensive in FIMT college. College provides financial assistance under the EWS scheme. After verification of all documents, the college provides financial help.

Campus Life

The college has many social groups for all types of fun like dance, singing, sports, photography, etc. The college has a very limited number of option sports. There is no big playground for football or cricket. College conduct sports day and we get chance to participate in any activity. The classroom is good, it has AC, a fan, comfortable furniture, a big board, etc. The College campus is well maintained. A library is a good place in college for self-study.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

I Gave CUET, CLAT, and aimed for DU colleges but couldn't get past it. Admissions were already done in the IPU but spot rounds got me cleared for the college.
