Remarks

I gave JEE ADVANCED and my cut off was cleared admission in IIST is not through jossa counselling but instead IIST has its own admission form which an individual has to fill separately. After filling the form a merit list is prepared if the name and branch is included in merit list then the candidate is eligible to take admission in IIST. For accepting the seat in IIST you have to submit the first semester fees, once they receive the payment your seat is confirmed. For further admission process you have to physically report in IIST and then fill the remaining formalities which include submitting the mark sheet of your High school and intermediate and many other documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As if avionics is in great demand in many IT and CS sectors and I have a huge interest for avionics that's why I opted for this branch. Taking about the faculty in IIST I think the the people in IIST are one of the best educator's I have ever. They are well qualified and have an amazing experience in their own field. Most of the faculties have the work experience in Indian space research organisation that's what make it really worth to study and research under their guidance. Considering the qualification of the faculty many of them are PhD from IIT's and they have a teaching experience of about on an average more than 7 years. The student ratio in IIST is 22.3 i.e in one batch 134 boys and 6 girls Talking about the semester exams the questions in the exams are of a certain level and they require a good conceptual knowledge more than quantitative

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about the fee structure the overall fee structure is 48, 000 per semester which includes 20000 as tution fees 2400 as hostel charges 12000 as mess charges 2000 as medical fees 8000 as establishment charges 4000 as student amenities fees. The whole fee is refunded if you get GPA above a 7.5 that is the policy of the college. If you maintain a CGPA of 7.5 till your last semester that is the 8th semester you will be placed in an Indian space research organization as an engineer scientist post and you'll be working for an Indian space research organization for 3 years which is mandatory. The placement cell of the college work differently it invites certain recruiters who offer the jobs to students which are common in almost all the colleges

Campus Life

4

As it is the institute for the study of space it includes many groups some of them are are astronomy groups, Nanosatellite projects etc. The campus life is on a intermediate level 2 there are many sports that the students enjoys in their free time there are many events which take place at times in IIST. Many great personalities like Rakesh Sharma the first Indian to travel in space addressed the students in IIST and shared his experience of space travel. The College fest dhanak is also amazing.

Hostel Facilities

4

In hostel room is shared by two students and includes a chair a table a cupboard and a bed for each student. The Wi-Fi facility is also available in hostels. The hostels are well maintained and are cleaned every day including the washrooms and bathrooms. The hostels are allotted after the admission process. The quality of the meal is on an intermediate level the mess very is well-maintained every day different type of meal is served. During Onam, a great variety of dishes are served to students. Due to security reasons, the colleges are located far from City and is surrounded by trees so the PG is not available nearby

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies. The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
