Remarks
You have to give Jee main followed by jee advanced in order to get admission into the BTech program in IIT Roorkee, The cutoff is 2476 (general). You can get admission without IITJee in design courses, also you can apply for the MTech program through the Gate exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Faculty member is really awesome especially for the chemical department they are chill, you can manage your attendance, all the professors are PhD, hardly anyone who had a master degree, Faculty: students ratio is good, the administration is also very helpful.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies visit campus for internships, all the companies which go to the top college of India come here, companies comes are samsung, oracle, razor pay. Stipend is around 50-60k per month.
Placement Experience
IIT is known for there placement records, Every year IIT Roorkee breaks its record, Many chemical industry companies come for placement drive but most of the students get placed into IT companies Placements for chemical engineering. Avg - 10-12 lpa, Highest - 30 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are not much high as of other private colleges as it's a government funded,. For the general category, it's around 8 lakhs for 4 years. Many scholarships are available like the 'Thomason Scholarship'. Also, your family income is less then you get some fees concession back.
Campus Life
Campus life is so amazing, the weather is also chill, you will enjoy exploring campus with your friends. Also, there are many places to visit near Roorkee so you can any time make a trip with your friends. IIT Roorkee campus is spread over 365 acres, many fests are going on over the year. 'Cognizant' is one of the biggest famous fests in east India.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are good, here the hostel is called Bhavan, for example, Rajiv Bhavan, After all, a hostel is all about friends, there is a separate mess for every hostel also the each has its own gymkhana.
