Remarks

Future Institute of Technology is one the most prominent colleges in Kolkata. It has good placement record plus it is located at a very convenient place for anyone to reach. The infrastructure of the college is good and the ambiance is nice too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum followed in this college is strictly set by the board, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The faculty is well qualified and are dedicated to help up all the time. Most teachers in our department have PhD degrees in relevant papers of their subject.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 480000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement facilities are good. If you're a good student you'll definitely get placed at a good company with a decent package. The seniors who have passed out before us had a good hold too and helped us in seeking better opportunities.

College Events

The campus life was good. I enjoyed my college life. There's no doubt that the college is strict about attendance. But other than that, the college is very lively. College canteen was my favourite place. The seniors are very good and helpful. They organised Freshers party when we were New. And we in return organised farewell for them. College organises two fest in an academic year. One cultural and one technical. We enjoy both. Students from different colleges come and competes and many famous people visits us too.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My rank in wbjee wasn't such good enough to get CSE in max of Kolkata's college. Also i wanted a college pretty close to the Kolkata metro. I didn't want to wear uniform. I was attracted to this college based on both its academic reputation as well as knowing several others from my high school whom I respected attending here ahead of me.
