B.Sc - CS at Bangabasi College

Bangabasi College is a famous name whenever we talk about B.Sc colleges in Kolkata and that's why I opted for my B.Sc here. The college is approved by UGC and functions under the University of Calcutta. It is also accredited with the NAAC group. There are a number of B.Sc branches in our college and the admissions are based on the scores attained by the candidate in 10+2 boards.

Our college is a hub for Arts, Science as well as Commerce courses and I applied for a B.Sc degree in Computer Science here. The 3 year course covered all the fundamentals of the field and also gave a touch of the higher level topics. The faculty and course curriculum were both equally good in our college which helped me get the best possible education throughout my journey with this institution

Yes , internships are offered to those who are really deserving to avail them because the offer's depend upon the quality as well as academic profile of the candidate. The round isn't compulsory that's why students can even make the decision to not appear.

I am currently in my final year and will become eligible for the placement drive in the final semester.The records of our college are good and this is why I am confident that it will help me to get a decent work offer. Companies for Arts, Science as well as Commerce fields visit our College and students get to have really impressive packages.

Fee structure for the B.Sc - CS was more than reasonable because the annual fee was just INR 6,320 Rupees and I don't think it would cause financial problems for any student. The total fee was just near INR 19,000. Students who are eligible can apply for Merit cum Means Scholarship & other similar aids from State as well as Central Government.

The campus life included celebration of National/ State level festivals which made students feel more like a family. The Durga Puja, Republic day were all celebrated and along with them Cultural fest, Interactive sessions and Sports fest were also there. The college was well managed by the administration and the groups like NSS, NCC and Placement cell were very popular. To maintain a better learning experience,the classrooms were upgraded time by time by Bangabasi College.

Students who belong to a far distance or want to get a self dependent atmosphere can apply for Hostels or PGs as it helps them to get a comfortable & productive lifestyle along with their Academics.The annual expenses for accommodation services is nearly INR 5,000- 10,000 and I think it is pretty affordable because that's not that high to put additional burden on a student's Finances.

For admissions to the B.Sc - CS course in this college candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 with the required subjects.After application process is concluded, the applicants are selected for admission as per the Merit list prepared according to XII performance.
