Life at IIT

Its among top 6 old IIT's with a good infrastructure and research work on international level also campus placements are good. The placemnts are more in software side but there is freedom for choosing your carrer ,you have oppurtinities with yourself just need to work. Apart from academics the culture here is also very great with 2 annual fests happing every hear , seniors are so good and help you in your journey a lot.

Course Curriculum is a up to date with including all the latest developements and knowledge ,the academic sydtem is like other IIT's only and not a lot of work load is there. Faculties are highly skilled here as the college is old and so well qualifies proffesors are available (Sometimes we study with their written books).Overall academics is descent here.

Yes here at IIT Roorkee you get to yake up internships in the summers or in winters break for 2 months , I interned in my second year at a robotivs coampany as the mobile robotics engineer and in third year at a Healthcare as a data scientist.The internships available on campus are of great companies with an average stipend offering of about 30-40 thousand, Here also ample of internship opportunities are available.

Placement opportunities are good here there are lots of companies visiting in campus but again in the it sector , core jobs are less here. After placemnts also when u have the tag of IIT Roorkee you can apply to off campus opportunities they are an option or you can go for further studies instead, ample of opportunities open up after graduating here.

Fee structure is aroung 1.3 lakhs including mess and hostel fees for general people and around 30000 for SC/ST people , financial assistance is provided on the basis of many schmes like medhavi yojana etc also there are anuually so many scholarships given to the deserving students. Talking about campus jobs there are a lot of opportunities obviously u need to work hard as the competion is also high.

Life is very happening here we have a lot of soceities here including both cultural like music and sports and also tech soceities including mobile developement and Hacking etc. Infrastructure is a vey wide one with around 350 hectares of land to the campus with a lot of greenery and a beautiful place to spend time.

Hostel facility we have single rooms ,there are seperate hostels for girls and boys, meal quality is just OK , enough to survive only ,there is facility of washing machines 24*7 water and R/O for drinking.

There were no interviews as such but yes the written exam in 2 levels was conducted known as JEE mains and further JEE advanced for the entrance to the college.
