No, in my time there was no entrance exam for admission. only the eligibility for this with pass intermediate in science stream with a good score i.e 1st division. I chose electrical stream because of my part of interest so I advise all to choose own. Much more facts about faculty I think in my time all faculty excluding some are good in teachings as well as behavior so cooperative. Difficulty depends upon students study if you study hard then no exams will difficult but one thing is in this college is one subject (maybe physics )in 1st-year exam will difficult so focus on it.

So don't worry you have to only focus on your study. After completing or maybe in the 7-8th semester some companies came for campus selection but I think we have to do some skill course to get a better job, this is the best thing.

One annual fest done in every after a year course may be in September-October which includes a fair good program for passed out students. Tech fest did here in campus by no.
