Entrance Preview

No Entrance Exam. Just pass out my 10 + 2 and joint this correspondence way of studying while working. Admission process was very simple and straight.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is similar to regular colleges in Delhi. Very easy and affordable books. The study material provided by the college is actually not sufficient therefore students always have to buy from the market. Alhough, there is library facility in there but that is not enough as compare to number of students and their requirements. But, all in all School of Open learning is one of the best option to study further for working professionals and needy ones.

College Events

2

This is the positive thing. Whether there are many places to rectify but yet this is the good platform for the new students to expose themselves to the city. Again, during my tenure there was no such facility for the students but now they are doing good in this regard as far as I have heard about them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is the only good thing about school of open learning as students don't have to pay high fee and other charges as compare to regular colleges. Infrastructure and other things that is supposed to be provided to students are far better in terms of fee they are taking from students.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't have any in my tenure of study. But there are facilities like loan, stipend, Scholarship for the needy students.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good and enjoyable for the students as well as for the teachers. well, Students get good exposure to the city and gel well with the regular students and help each other in all aspects. Environment is always a good for the students except girls as we all know. Campus faculty should take more steps to enforce the law and order around the campus to make sure that girls and female teacher can wander around freely and happily.

Exam Structure

Whether it is about syllabus or study material or classes, there is no major difference between the correspondent college and the regular one. Exam questions paper and examination are also almost same but when it comes to give students their marks, they do not seem to have heart towards the correspondence students. Students give their best but yet did not get marks as they expect.

Faculty

3.5

College faculty is average. They do support students in resolving their issues but they should arrange some regular classes to them. Examiners are always biased towards the regular students when it comes to examine their answersheet. They usually give less marks as compare to regular colleges.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
