Remarks

The admission process of B.Sc Life Science at Acharya Narendra Dev College was simple. I got admission on a merit basis and there was no entrance exam. I had also availed reservation benefit because I belong to the SC category and I got admission in the very first cutoff (79% for SC). The admission form for admission to undergraduate or postgraduate courses could be found at the official website of the University of Delhi every year in the month of may June, but right now the admission process is getting late due to COVID-19

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I had chosen the B.Sc Life Science course because it includes maximum subjects like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, English, etc so I got exposure to every subject and it was very interesting. Talking about the faculty of ANDC, the teachers were well qualified, educated, and experienced. Frankly talking they are very good And there was enough teacher in the college compared to students. The term exams were held regularly every six months and they were not very hard to pass. But one thing which I want should improve is that at the time of selection of subjects from optional one, we didn't get the many choices as our class strength was low.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There was a number of internship opportunities for the students through Internshala at my college. One can get an internship easily at Internshala. Also, we get mails regularly for the internship by the college, so that we can't miss anyone.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students become eligible for the placement from the third year onwards. But the placement at our college was not so good. There were very few companies who came to our college and you get an average package of 2-4 lakh per annum. I was looking forward to getting admission in m. Sc at du.

Fees and Financial Aid

If I talk about the fee structure of my course, then it was also good. The fee was not very high as compared to other colleges. Also, there was a minimal hike every year in the fees. Talking about the scholarship, there were many scholarships but I didn't get anyone also the stipend in the scholarship was low.

Campus Life

4

The name of the fest of our college was Leothrix. It was held every year in the month of February, but for the last 2 years due to covid, there's nothing. Talking about the library, the library consists of many books and journals. There were thousands of books including novels, subject-specific, newspapers etc. Talking about the sports life at campus, then I'll say that it was average only because the ground was not so big, also the equipment was old and damaged at my time. There were many clubs in our college including NSS, EcocClub, Dhwani, mayra, Dhun, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
