Acharya Narendra Dev College: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 10 Reviews

Delhi University offers a comprehensive admission process, emphasizing strict document verification and cutoff criteria for eligibility. The BSc program in Life Sciences is known for its inclusivity and broad knowledge base, supported by highly qualified faculty, particularly in Botany and Zoology. The faculty-student ratio ensures effective learning, with classes having about 40-45 students and two teachers. While the course provides diverse field options and practical applications, industry experience is limited.

Exams are moderately difficult, with a 90% pass rate. Placement opportunities are available with companies like HCL, Wipro, TCS, Google, and Amazon. Annually, about 40% of students secure placements, with an overall placement rate of up to 82%. Placement packages range from 2-12 lakh per annum, averaging 3-4 lakh, with the highest at 8 lakh. Notable roles include tech analyst and data analyst. The college has an entrepreneurship cell and a student-run lab, Think Lab, offering jobs and internships.

Scholarships are provided based on talent, academic performance, and participation in activities, with specific schemes for SC/ST/BPL/PWD/PH and orphaned students. The total course fee is approximately INR 30,000, including a refundable INR 2,000 deposit. The three-year program fee is INR 24,000, with the first-year tuition fee at INR 17,005 and reduced fees for SC/ST/EWS PWD students at INR 2,555. The second and third-year fees are INR 14,205 and INR 15,205, respectively.

Scholarship schemes include the Prof. Savithri Singh Research Award Fund (INR 6,000) and Saksham Puru Foundation Research Fellowship Award (INR 5,000). Despite affordable fees, the placement cell is less active, limiting placement opportunities and resulting in modest packages.
