Remarks
The admission process was quite simple as a common UG admission form was released by Delhi University and I had given all my details there then the cut-off was released by all the colleges of Delhi University and in the first cut-off itself, I got admission in Hindu College. Its cut-off was 96.8 for OBC students and I cleared that so I applied on the online portal and got admission by paying the fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from the science stream and I have a keen interest in zoology so I chose this course Hindu College is among the top 5 colleges in India for pursuing BSc. There are 2 core subjects with 6 teachers and 1 AECC subject with 2 teachers and 1 GE subject with 3 teachers and the students in my class this year are 120. Among all 12 teachers, 8 have completed their Ph.D. and have experience of above 6 yrs and 4 are an assistant professors with 2-3yrs experience. Teachers take practicals each week and take tests on alternate weeks even assignments are provided on alternate weeks too.
Internships Opportunities
I couldn't name the companies because there are a bunch of companies that hire students as research intern or HR post and help them out make their CVV even stipend up to 15000 is provided to the experienced students.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for the campus placement for 5 semesters itself. As my college is NAAC A+ certified it has a good percentage of placement that is an Average placement of 7-8 lakh per anum.My plans after completing this are to complete my master's and go into the research field. Students can go for zoologists, researchers, forest officers,s and much more.
Fees and Financial Aid
As my college comes under Delhi University which is a complete government college so the fees are very less than is 20460 rs per year which means 1775 rs approx per month which a student can easily manage. The PG here in the north campus has very less rent is around 5000 per bed and Scholarship is provided by the college there is various scholarship program where you get 1000/month by Delhi University which is easily approachable by students. It's my first year or you can say first sem but I got an unpaid internship in a startup so there are various opportunities provided by Delhi University.
Campus Life
So due to this pandemic haven't lived college or campus life but the north campus is among the best campuses in Delhi. An annual fest happens in my college every year but isn't yet declared due to pandemics. Talking about sports Hindu colleges have a basketball team, cricket teams and many other sports are there to enjoy. There are many societies such as dance, NCC, NSS, acting which the student can join according to his interest.
Other Applied Colleges
Hansraj College, Delhi University | Bsc hons in zoology
