IIT Guwahati Review

IIT Guwahati is among the top 10 engineering colleges of India. IIT Guwahati is the favourite spot for job offers from Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Apple, and Flipkart. After knowing that I have managed to meet the cutoff criteria of IIT Guwahati I immediately applied for JOSAA counselling and I was allotted the seat I did not want to miss any chance and I immediately froze my seat. I have secured 85% in my 10+2 exam. IIT Guwahati was my preference from the beginning.

The curriculum follows the case study, quizzes, simulation activity of real-world problems, assignments, and project work methods to clear our concepts. The curriculum is properly synced with real-world scenarios. The curriculum helps us to understand the importance of software technology, coding and hardware in the growth of the industries.

After completing the 3 years of our program we are eligible to take part in the college internship program. The internship is mandatory and the college placement committee is helpful in finding an adequate company for the internship. The average stipend for the internship is around Rs. 85000/-. approx 45 companies visited our campus for the internship programs.

The college provides good placement offers and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee plays an important role during the placement process. As they are fully responsible for our performance in placement. The college placement committee of the college makes sure that every one of us is placed. The highest package for our batch is around 36 LPA and the average salary package is around 20 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, L&T, Oracle, Apple are the top recruiter of the college.

The college organises the fests like ALCHERINGA is the cultural fest and is 2nd largest fest of India, TECHNICHE is a techno-management fest of the college, SPIRIT is the sports fest of the college. The college campus life is very good. The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college library is full of books from international authors and international journals are available that are very helpful for us during our assignments. The college classrooms are big and spacious.

The hostel is well maintained. the rooms are big and spacious. the hostel wardens and the staff are cooperative and they really work very hard to maintain the decorum of the hostel. The hostel provides 24 hours of water and power supply. The mess food of good quality and the menu keeps on changing as per the demand. The hostel provides us with all the basics and modern facilities.

The faculty of the college is of PhD level and with good industrial experience. which is very helpful for us. The college faculty motivates us to take part in the extra-curricular activities and provides us full assistance during the research activity. The faculty of the college is very friendly.
