IIT Bhubaneswar Review

IIT Bhubaneswar is among the top 30 engineering colleges of India. I choose the college because of its placement and college education and I was able to meet the cutoff eligibility of the college. I was allotted the seat during my JOSAA counseling and if I wanted to opt for the college I have to freeze the seat by paying an amount of 35k and further I have to verify my document after freezing the seat.

The curriculum is flexible and is updated regularly as per the demands of industry and international standards. The curriculum gives us good knowledge about computer technology, coding, software programming, and very basic concepts and fundamentals. The curriculum is properly balanced between theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge.

We have to attend the college internship program after completing the 3 years of our program and if any one of us is busy or involved in any kind of project work can skip the internship by providing the relevant document to the placement committee as the placement committee is responsible for our internship program. The average stipend is around 45k.

IITs are itself very popular for their placement packages and IIT Bhubaneswar is also not behind. The college provides good placement. The placement committee plays an important role in the placement process as the committee is fully responsible for our placement and they properly guide and help us in every placement round. The highest package for our batch was around 50 LPA and the average package was around 15.58 LPA. Approx 75+ companies visit our campus for the college placement drive.

The college provides a good environment for studies. Wisssinere is our college tech fest, Ashwadhmadha is the college sports fest and E-Summit is the college entrepreneurship fest where different kinds of start-ups leaders are invited to share their experience. The college infrastructure is well maintained. The college library is very good and international authors' bestselling books are also available. Sports facility like cricket ground, football ground, hockey ground, badminton court, basketball court, and volleyball court is also available.

The hostel infrastructure is well maintained and the hostel is very hygenic and very well cleaned. The rooms are properly ventilated. The rooms have basic equipment like beds, study tables, almirah, and LAN cable connectivity. A high-speed WiFi facility is also available. The hostel mess food is good and the menu is very vast and keeps on changing. The decorum of the hostel is very well maintained. The price of a 17k hostel is very affordable and worth staying in. The hostel has all the basic facilities and is modern as per our needs.

The faculty is very good and of Ph.D. level. The professors are aware of their concepts and the main plus points the faculty have a learning mentality in them. The faculty is expert in their respective subjects.
