Admission is based on the entrance examination result and the mark obtained in the higher secondary examination. The merit quota seats are filled through centralized allotment process by CEE. It is based on the rank of the student obtained in the entrance examination keam. Government reservation policies are applied in this case. The management quota seats are filled by the college management taking into consideration the merit of the students. Here the marks obtained for the higher secondary examination are given priority. There are no reservation benefits for this quota. Application for management quota seats can be filled directly from the college website and application for merit quota seats can be filled from the CEE website.

The College curriculum is very sophisticated and not easy the requirements and criteria are hard to maintain. The University syllabus has changed twice which is pretty unstable for those who are in between they tend to improve each time so it is worth it. EC course provides ample career opportunities and makes us ready to get the most sought job in the world. All the faculties are highly qualified and how their MTech from NIT and IIT. Some have Ph.D. in their respective fields. All the faculties are very supportive and highly experienced. The teaching method is somewhat textbook-oriented without much practical exposure. College conduct a series of exams during each semester there will be two months gap between each examination. The serious exams are moderate and can pass the exam with an average knowledge about the subject. The series exams pass percentage is about 80 % and the end semester examination has a pass percentage of 65 percent.

College provides placement training from the first semester itself. There are exams conducted every semester related to the placements. From the 5th semester onwards the placement training gets more serious. All the major companies visit the college for placement activities. Major companies including Wipro, TCS, Infosys Cognizant, UST Global, etc conduct placement activities during the 7th and 8th semesters. On average, 40% of students get placement opportunities. The fees structure is in accordance with the government guidelines as it is a private institution the fees are very high. There is no fees hike unless permitted by the government. On average, it cost around 6 lakh for the entire course to be completed. There are scholarships based on the merit of the students. Students having less than 10k Keam rank will get scholarships which reduces the cost of study to about 100000. Which is very have much helpful for the students. The college annual tech fest is conducted every year. It gives an extremely good experience to the students. It is usually conducted during the even semester. The art fest SARAGAM is conducted on the days nearer to the techfest. The college library provides one of the biggest scientific collections in Asia. All classrooms are digitalized with free Wi-Fi access to all students. The sports events include Football, volleyball, cricket, etc. There are two units of NSS and one unit of NCC functioning in the college. It is one of the first self-financing engineering colleges in Kerala to have an NCC unit. Also Music clubs, nature clubs are also working here.
