IIT Patna Review

B.Tech is the flagship course of IIT Patna and the college provides very good international research opportunities as the college has international collaboration with universities of Canada, the USA, Australia, Singapore, etc. I was given the seat in the college during my JOSAA counselling as my academic score and JEE score fits the college cutoff parameters. After joining IIT Patna I do not have any kind of regret the college is very good and the vibes of the college are very positive. The faculty, administrative staff and the seniors everyone is friendly and cooperative too.

The curriculum of the college is new and has recently been updated to suit the latest industrial and international norms. The college also has a grant of INR 124.46 for research and project work which means the college provides good opportunities for research work. The college also promotes new ideas. The faculty of the college is very good they are highly experienced and properly trained. The faculty is not only PhD level but they also understand our problems regarding the syllabus and guide us throughout the B.Tech program. The faculty is approachable for any kind of queries and they also help us in clearing the concepts.

The college has a good internship program for us and we can take part in the college internship program after completing three years of our program. We have to register our details with the college placement committee so that the committee can help us to identify good companies for internships. The average internship stipend was around 42k.

The college has good placement standards as oper the norm of IITs. The college provides 100% placement. The college placement committee is responsible for the placements as the committee is fully responsible for conducting the placement rounds and inviting good companies. The college placement committee is successful in inviting a good number of companies and the committee guides in every placement round. The highest package for our batch was around 45 LPA and the average package was around 15 LPA.

Merit-based scholarships are available and scholarships for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college provides scholarships through various scholarship schemes like Merit Cum Means Scholarship, Top Class Education Scheme for SC students, Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students, Prime Minister's Scholarship Scheme for RPF (Railway Protection Force)/RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force), Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship for students belonging to the Minority Communities to pursue professional and technical courses, Scholarships for Top Class Education for students with disabilities etc. For more information on the college scholarship programs and eligibility criteria, one can log into the college official website.

The college infrastructure is well maintained and the classrooms are also big and properly ventilated. The college provides good research opportunities and project work. The college also organises fest like CELESTA is the cultural fest and INFINITO is college technical fest. The college labs are big and all types of modern tools are available in the labs that are very helpful in research work activity. The college library is the house of many bestseller authors books and many international journals are also available in the library.

The hostel rooms are very well maintained and the rooms have basic facilities like beds, study tables and almirahs. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned 5 days a week. The hostel mess food is good and the mess menu is very vast. The wardens and the staff are highly professional and properly trained. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of water and power supply. The hostel is full of all kinds of basic and modern facilities.
