IIT Bhubaneswar Review

After clearing my JEE I was waiting for the colleges to declare the cutoff list and I was really very lucky to meet the cutoff standards of IIT Bhubaneswar. The college is among the top 30 best engineering colleges in India. The college has good placement standards. I was interested in the Aerospace Engineering program and I was able to meet the cutoff criteria for the Aerospace Engineering program. In JOSAA counselling I was able to secure the seat and took admission to IIT Bhubaneswar.

The curriculum of the college is very good and it follows all the latest industrial guidelines as per standard. The curriculum provides insight knowledge on the latest technology and new development in the field of Aerospace. The faculty of the program is also very qualified and expert in their respective subject. The faculty is not only of PhD standards but also help us to understand each and every concept in detail. The faculties also share some tips to remember the concepts and formulas also that we can always remember them. As the Aerospace Engineering program required lots of detailing the faculty help us to understand each and every point in detail and they make sure that every concept is properly understood.

The college has a good internship program. To take part in the college internship program we have to register our details such as name, domain and interest with the college placement committee so that they can help us in selecting good company as per our interest. The average stipend for the internship program is around 45k.

The college has very high placement standards. The college is very popular for its placement in India and the college provides 100% placement. The college placement committee is very cooperative and is responsible for conducting the placement drive. The committee is successful in inviting the goos numbers of companies for placement drive. The highest package was around 45 LPA and the average pacakge was around 18 LPA.

Scholarship on a merit basis is available and scholarship and financial assistance for SC/ST/PWD is also available. The college infrastructure is very well maintained and the classrooms are big, spacious and properly ventilated. The good provides good opportunities for research work and studies. The college also organises many fests such as Wisssinere is the college technical fest, Ashwadhmadha sports fest and E-Summit is the college entrepreneurship fest. The guest faculties also visit the college campus which is a very good learning experience for us.

Mahanadi Hall of Residence and Dr. A.N. Khosla Hall of Residence is the male hostel and Subarnarekha Hall of Residence is the hostel for females. The hostel rooms are available in single occupancy. The hotel campus has the sports facilities like a basketball court, volleyball court, Badminton court, and indoor game facility like carrom, table tennis etc. The hostel also provides us with 24 hours of WiFi connectivity for the internet. The mess food quality of the hostel is good and we are served with special food during the birthdays and festivals.
