Money+Jee mains rank under 35000, admission in IIIT Kottayam

I took the JEE Mains exam in 2021 and got 37517 AIR. I got admission to CSAB Special Round 2. JEE Mains exam held twice a year till 2020. In 2021 there were given four attempts. The First & Second attempt was in February and March. But due to covid other two attempts were postponed to July and August. After exams and results. Counselling started in November, it took a whole month for 6 rounds of JOSAA counselling then in December CSAB round was held. After sending documents and paying first semester fees, classes start in January 2022. There is a reservation benefit but there is not any State reservation quota.

The course curriculum is the best in India. IIIT Kottayam follows the curriculum of IIIT Hyderabad which is the best in INDIA. There is not any waste of time subjects in the first year like physics, chemistry. Faculty is also good, all faculties are PhD holders and have verse diversity of knowledge in various fields. They are strict as they have to be friendly. Faculty helps in getting internships and make us interview ready. I choose this course because I love to code, so I want to hone my skills and gain knowledge about computer science. There are 44 faculties in total and 849 total students in college. College took 2 mid sem exams and 1 end of sem and also monthly quizzes. The difficulty level is not so hard but not so easy to pass.

Many seniors got internships in Infosys, Accenture, IBM, Capgemini and TCS with the highest stipend of Rs38500/-. Roles offered were Performance Test engineer, UI developer, Full Stack developer, trainee engineer.

After 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies visit our campus like Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Jio, Wipro etc. In 2021, 106 offers were made with more than 90% placement percentage excluding higher studies and from eligible candidates. The highest package was 42LPA and the average package was 9.2LPA. Profiles offered were Software developer, network security manager, Information security analyst, IT manager etc.

Total fees are Rs 12,37,620 including Hostel and Mess advance. Fees are obviously very high and college doesn't provide any scholarship. But it provides help and assistance in getting the national scholarship and education loan. If you have money and rank enough to get into this college. So make sure you take admission to this college. I am in my First year, but my seniors get well salaried jobs in companies like TCS, Infosys, Microsoft etc. with the highest package of 42LPA. College also encourages students for internships and pre placements by helping in providing opportunities.

Campus life is brilliant. Our college is on the hillside, so obviously, the environment is good. There are many fests held almost every month such as Adavya(fresher's fest), Enlace(Inter-college fest) which is participated by many college students IITs, DU, NITs etc., Sports Fest and Technical Fests(coding competitions). Almost all books on every topic related to academics and commonly interested books are available in the library. Teaching facilities are good in classrooms with well equipped smart classes. Sports competitions are held at regular intervals of time with a huge number of participations, and with energy and determination. There are many sports which are played such as cricket, football(not so good ground), table tennis, badminton, kabaddi, indoor games(chess, carrom) etc. There are four clubs run by students mentored by faculties- Sports club, Cultural club(Wildbeats), Technical Club(Beta Labs), Trendles Club(for designing, photography, social media handling).

Hostel facilities are good, well constructed buildings. There is a common mess hall, a common TV hall, Common Bathrooms. Washing Machines is provided for washing clothes for each building. Very good WiFi connection and speed. Mess Food quality is good with varieties of food. There is only one form submission for hostel registration so, it is quite an easy registration process. Rooms are available for 3 people. There are 4 boys hostel and 1 girl hostel because of very low sex ratio. There is not any option provided for PG. it is compulsory to live in the hostel.
