Remarks
In pre-covid times, everything was offline. DU released the cutoff on its official site and we had to find the courses and colleges we could get admission in. We had to come to the college, verify our documents, and take admission. We were given a fees slip and had to submit fees the following day. Nowadays, it's online because of pandemics so you won't need to go through this hectic process. For history (hons) in my college, the minimum cutoff was 82% and I had 84.25% so got admission successfully.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose my course because I want to go for civil services and studying history will be in that. There are around 50 students in my class and different professors teach different papers. The professors are extremely qualified, some of them are serious about teaching us and even teach in an interesting manner. Some of them, just complete the syllabus somehow. Term exams happen twice a year in May and December.
Fees and Financial Aid
It's one of the cheapest colleges in the country. You just need 18 thousand rs for 3 years. You can get a bus pass for 100 rs/month for commuting. There is a scholarship though it's difficult to claim it. There's no placement cell for history (Hons)
Campus Life
There's no annual fest in the college but small events happen in the auditorium at least twice a week. The college has a decent air-conditioned library with seating for 100 students but still, everyone can't get a book because students are more than the books available. No sports facility available but there is a sports club in the college. There are great clubs for music, dance, theatre, art, anchoring etc.
