Remarks

MIT's Economics course is really great for anyone who wants to have a career based in research. The college offers a very research-oriented curriculum where we have mini projects every trimester. The campus, faculty, and seniors are really nice as well. Another good part is that the college has 39 subjects, so by the end of the course, I got clarity as to what I should pursue further. faculty in MIT-WPU is like family, unlike other colleges they really care for students' performance academically, students' mental and physical health. I personally enjoyed insightful, informative, and enlightening guest sessions. Overall MIT-WPU provides great studying experience, industry exposure, and career opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Economics course at MIT-WPU has 39 subjects so quite a big course basket. At MIT-WPU we have a trimester system which means the term will end after 3 months. The faculty in MIT-WPU is very professional and Qualified they entertain all doubts and queries. They'll refer you to books and study material, they also encourage out-of-the-box thinking, common doubts are explained in class, personal doubts can be addressed after college ours in the faculty office. Here we have mentors allocated to us for personal counselling and for mentorship requirements in the Research projects. We also have a feedback form given to us every trimester to rate our faculty. which gives students a fair chance to decide their faculty for the subject.

Internships Opportunities

5

The placement cell provides ample opportunity for students to do internships with reputed companies. The placement cell is very active and answers all doubts raised by students. However it is not compulsory to do an internship recommended by the university, but in that case, university doesn't take any responsibility.

Placement Experience

4.5

University provides 100% Placement, there are big firms like IBM, Amazon, Deloitte, Wipro, etc come for recruitment. University has a placement cell that is very active in ensuring the safety of students in the workplace and they stay in touch with recruiters and take student feedback. overall it is very satisfactory.

Fees and Financial Aid

100% scholarship is given to students if they meet the criteria. The fees structure is broken into tuition fees, development fees, Examination fees, etc. But once you join MIT-WPU you'll find the quality of education worth the expense. ROI in MIT-WPU is high in all courses. For Economics Course Fees is INR 175000 only.

Campus Life

5

Life at MIT-WPU is a Balanced Mixture of Competitiveness and festivity. The college campus is huge and University is well equipped with a Knowledge source centre, Sports Ground, an Auditorium, a Peace hall, Amphitheater, smart classrooms, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel for both boys and girls are located in the Campus premises. The hostel has a warden, cleaning staff, and Mess service. Hostels are clean and Furnished. You'll find a Study table, Bed, Attached washroom, Study hall, Water dispenser, and sitting arrangements in the lobby. The hostel is total value for money at MIT-WPU.

Interview Experience

5

I gave a Computer test followed by Group Discussion in my City, later was called to Pune by the university for counselling. The computer test is Logic-based and on toughness level it is Medium. This ensures the Quality of peers in the classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
