Remarks
The admission process was quite smooth. The admission was based on merit which n turn was contingent on your 12th board exams' percentage. Delhi university issues application forms on its site. You have to choose your preferred course and jot down the application id. Once the cut-offs are out, you can choose the college you are eligible for. SBSC cut-offs for political science touched 96% last year. The process inside the college is simple. You will be asked to submit your original documents which once verified will be returned by the college. You will be given an admission payslip once your eligibility is verified and that's it: you become an SBSCian.
Course Curriculum Overview
Political science faculty of SBSC is top notch. Perhaps why I preffered this college over other south campus colleges. Most of the teachers hold a doctorate degree. The teacher to studnet ratio is good with one teacher for every 50 students. Classes are held regularly and exams are on time. The difficulty was average. The papers were lengthy but the questions were easy.
Internships Opportunities
There are numerous internship opportunities as well. Students can pursue research interns under their teachers. More so they can enrol into internship opportunities provided by companies that visit the college every year.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is very active. Third year students are eligible to sit for placements. The college is visited by some big companies like byjus, Mahindra, Unacademy, Delloite and the like. The average package is 7 lakhs per annum with some going as high as 20 lakhs per annum. I plan to study further after completion of my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is according to the DU guidelines. It's quite affordable. There are enough opportunities for under-privileged students to avail scholarships. Every year the college issues 3-4 scholarship opportunities. The placement cell is very active. The average package is around 7 lakhs with some reaching as high as 20 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is fascinating. There are numerous societies ranging from debates to quizzing and acting to singing. The college has a huge sports field which supports football, basketball and badminton. More so Table tennis and Chess are played as well.
Interview Experience
No there were no interviews for the admission. The admission was purely based on your class 12th board exams' marks. Score above 95% and you have a thick chance to clear the cut off of shaheed bhagat singh college.
Other Applied Colleges
ARSD, DYAL SINGH | Political Science Hons
I saw reviews on collegedunia and other sites as well and had a discussion with some of my seniors.
