Remarks

For Admission in Remote sensing and GIS the students have to pass graduate in geography or graduate in any of the science stream. Our university provides an online application from the vidyasagar University website. Fees for 2 years which is 4th-semester basis is 40000 approx. There is also reservation system as per government rule I think they should select student according to fully exam basis.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually, I'm very interested in Remote sensing and GIS in my college days because in our syllabus there is a chapter in remote sensing and GIS and the subject is very interesting as well as there are many scopes after the course. There is 4 permanent professor and 1 lab assistant and also IIT professor taking a special class. The exam is moderate and if anyone studies regularly then he or she will pass easily.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For this subject, the student has to pay 40000 in 4 instalments and every student also needs to buy a personal laptop because it is a practical based subject. There is many scholarship programs like Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship for this scholarship minimum of 55 percentage marks needed.

Campus Life

Our university organize annual festival every year and also our department organizes many national and international seminar. Our university has central library which is digitally maintained. Total approx 60000 books are there and also there is reading where students can read books journals newspaper. Every year our university organize annual sports and also organise cricket football competition. There is also gym facilities available in our university.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

The affordablity of this course and i want to dive in research so the faculties are so much capable and i believe thatwith their help i will fulfill my goal . Placement Experience:

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements.
