Remarks

We got in based on our class 12 marks, which were given based on an average of the previous 6 years' scores. The cutoffs took place and I landed Ramjas college. The faculty was friendly enough to talk politely and clear all my queries when I had a few doubts about my admission process. The cutoffs were really high this year in whole of DU. Ramjas college had most of its information available on its website so the admission process was pretty fluid.

I chose BA Programme mainly because I want to pursue the UPSC examinations and the programme helps focusing on multiple subjects. My combinations are philosophy and economics. You do not require to have studied these subjects in school to apply. The student teacher ratio varies from course to course, but it's generally about 1:35. Almost all faculties are PhDs in their subjects, which naturally makes them amazing teachers. Their teaching methods are simple yet effective. Term exams were in the OBE format for us this year. They were fairly easy, and the management did help a lot with the process.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are frequent at Ramjas, with over 30 domestic and multinational companies coming to offer placement cum internship at the college. The projects might include content writing, event management, social media handler, and lots more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studying is extremely minimal in Ramjas college. They charge a nominal fee, which is still subject to various scholarships. Other than that, you also get a lot of opportunities for internships. There are internship fests with multiple companies offering multiple positions.

Campus Life

Life on campus in Ramjas is one filled with energy. Ramjas has numerous departmental fests as well as societies. There are societies for all activities like debating, drama, dance, finance and investment, etc. All of these are student-run societies with minimal to zero involvement of teachers. Ramjas has a huge football, table tennis, volleyball and basketball ground/courts. We also have a gym.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

For admission into Delhi University, CUET exam is conducted based on your 12th subjects.
