Remarks
Admission was done on a merit basis. The cut off lists were out on the official website of the college after the board results were declared and eligible students were allowed to fill up forms accordingly. There were total of 7 cut off lists for the 2021 batch. I had taken admission for the Bcom+ ACCA course and was selected in the 3rd list. The college takes into consideration the average marks of all the subjects opted in the board exams. The admission process was smooth but the only problem that occurred was that the college authorities never picked up calls.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the BCOM + ACCA course which resulted in 6 papers of ACCA exempted and it is a course of 3 years only. We can get a BCom degree with a specialisation in accounting and finance without taking honours through this course. The faculty is highly qualified and the professors are good but self-studies will only help you succeed. Midterms and end-term exams are the main exams held along with frequent internals and assignments for all subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are given to students from the first year itself. However, it is on students how they take up these opportunities. Currently, EY had brought up internship offers for first-year students too. The students who prove to be of good use are paid fairly in these internships.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for placement from in their 6th semester and 60-80% of students get placed every year. Many companies like Deloitte, HUL, etc come to recruit students from our college. I plan to get placed in a good company as an Acca and then work for a couple of years and then plan next accordingly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first-year fees are 140000 which includes the registration fees for ACCA. The fees for the second year onwards is 91000. There are various opportunities that come our way in the form of scholarships, be it for students of Maharashtra or even bonafide scholarships
Campus Life
Different fests are held by the respective skill development clubs from time to time in the college. These clubs are based on enhancing various skills in almost every field. Students also earn credits that are required to get the degree after completion of the third year. The library is easily accessible to the students and a reading room is also provided by the college where students can sit and study whenever they want. Regular health checkups and importance is given to physical education also.
