Remarks

The admission process is based on jee mains ranks which were conducted by a national testing agency. The forms filling process is opening around January. Reservation is around 27% for OBC and similarly for SC and ST students. I think there is no improvement required because universities follow the state government advisory for giving admission to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is nice but I think there should be some changes made to make it more useful and to make the students industry-ready. All the faculty members are well qualified, some of them are from IITs, NITs and other reputed institutes. They taught in very easy manners. Exams are divided into three categories 1st prefinal, second prefinal and Final external exam. It is easy to score well in prefinals exams because they are internal but difficult to score in final external exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

In my branch, about 50 to 60% of students got internships in Tata motors, Ashoka Leyland, Mahindra etc. The mechanical branch is a royal branch in Pantnagar University so it's my personal advice to join mechanical engineering at Govind Ballabh pant university of agriculture and technology Pantnagar.

Placement Experience

3

The placement scenario is good in our college. Various companies visit our college for campus placement. The best thing is there was an airport near the university, so it was easier for companies to visit our university. Every year companies like Tata Motors, Mahindra, Samsung, Wipro, TCS, Maruti Suzuki etc visit for campus placement. The highest package for the Mechanical engineering branch is around 10 LPA and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Overall around 60% of students got campus placement. You also got the internship opportunities, around 50 to 60% of students got the internship in my branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Because it is a state government University so fees are less compared to other private institutions. It is around 65725 fee per year for b.tech in mechanical engineering and you have also to pay Mess charges, hostel charges around 40000 per year. Definitely, you got a scholarship from state government schemes like SC, ST, OBC scholarship and other Scholarships which are run by the university.

Campus Life

3.5

A wonderful journey begins when you enter the university. You got an awesome college life. From time to time different types of fests are organised in the university. Coliseum the annual fest of the college of technology, and different types of societies in the university like Sanskritik Chetna Parishad, Vivekanand Mandal etc organise different types of events like dance, drama, singing, quiz competition etc. The sports facility is also awesome, currently, the 54th athletics meet is organised at the university.

Hostel Facilities

3

Currently, I am in the first-year hostel Tagore Bhawan, which is one of the oldest hostels at the university. It is a state government University so you assume the facilities they provide. In this hostel, there are 3 students in a room. But in the second year 2 students and so on Third and final year you got a single-seater room. Mess food is awesome, every morning you got "aalu ka Paratha".The quality of food is average. When you got admission to the university you have to register for the hostels in the respective hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
