After that one can choose any course in the college of DU if he/she clears the cutoff.
Course Curriculum Overview
The reason why I choose this course is my inclination towards maths, Maths used to be my favourite subject in school also. Also, there are ample amount of career options after graduation in mathematics, like IIT JAM for masters, placements, Govt exams etc. The student-faculty ratio in our course is about 1:90. This is highest in college because of over admission in the course this year. That is why our class has been divided into two sections of 90 students each. This ratio really needs to be improved. The professors are well qualified, they have a minimum experience of 10 years in this field. Talking about the teaching method, it is overall good, they teach you in the simplest way making it easy to understand for every student, One can freely ask their doubts from teachers. We have a semester exam every 6 months. The question paper is set up by Delhi University, and the level remains easy to an average level. One who has studied half of the syllabus will also be able to pass the exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my course, the total fees for a year are 18560 rupees, Since it's a central government university so the fees are less than compared to other private colleges and universities. There is no fee hikes till now. The possibility of getting a hostel is low as there are only 200 seats for a hostel. One can get a scholarship from the college side if he/she performs well in semester exams.
Campus Life
The name of our annual fest is mecca, It is a huge fest where the students from other colleges on the north campus can also come, it is conducted in the month of October usually. The Approx budget of the fest is about 80 lakhs rupees All kinds of books are available in the library, one can issue a book for a maximum of 15 days from the library, the library rooms are good, with all of necessary facilities such as washrooms, water cooler, AC etc. The size of classrooms is average. It has a holding capacity of around 70 students at a time. The classrooms are clean and well maintained. The campus have a pretty huge ground with lush green grass, One can play basketball, volleyball, cricket, football there however playing games are allowed only after 11.30 am. Before that no sports can be played in sports Complex. There are number of ECA in the college like dancing, drama, debates etc There are about 32 societies in our college run by students .
