Admission to Hindu College(University of Delhi)was based on performance in board exams. Its application form is available on du.ac.in. But from this year a common entrance exam named CUET will get conducted and based on the performance in that entrance you will be able to take admitted to Hindu College as well as other colleges under Delhi University. Hindu college is 9th in NIRF ranking and 1st in India Today ranking. Probably it is one of the best colleges for pursuing graduation (BA, BSc, BCom) in India. The cutoff for General candidates in BSc Physical Science Chemistry was 96.6 this year. In the EWS category, it was 95 percent. The fee for the course is 20460 Rs.
Course Curriculum Overview
It has a total of 6 semesters in 3 years so every 4-to 5 months you have an exam. It is not difficult to pass the exams. Even if you study only before 10-15 days of exams you can pass with flying colors. So there is not much burden of exams and internals.
Internships Opportunities
You can take internships in Teaching, HR, sales and marketing, business development, and Social media management. And many others based on your skills. Companies like Mankind, Cerebro, and many NGOs provide opportunities.
Placement Experience
In the third year, you can see placements in college. The placement cell of the college is Disha and the internship cell is Abhyas. Every year they bring a lot of opportunities for students interested in the placement. Companies like Byju, Wipro, Deloitte, etc visit mostly and hire around 200 to 250 students. As most of the students want to continue their studies further that's why less number of students take part in the placement. This year Byju has given a 28lac package. I will pursue my master's after this course.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships in college. But I haven't got any since all this happens after 1st year and I am still in 2nd semester. That's why I can't answer this question. There are internships where you can get a stipend in college.
Campus Life
There is a lot of exposure based on co-curricular activities. There are more the 40 societies that are functional in the college. The most famous one is Dramatic Society Ibtida established by famous director Imtiaz Ali. Many other societies like Panchtatwa (Environmental Society) NSS, NCC, Jatayu, Vivre, Samhita, Global Youth, Caucus, and many more.
