Remarks
The eligibility for the course was cutoff wise, now it has been changed to an entrance exam to be conducted by the University. One had to download his application form duly filled from the website itself and produce it before the college office along with additional documents like caste certificate, 10th and 12th Marksheet, Character Certificate, Provisional Certificate etc. Once the application was accepted, after verification of the documents, the fee had to be paid through the online portal itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course Social Work is a blend of Sociology as well as Social Psychology, along with fieldwork experience throughout the three-year course, this was an add on benefit as the students are continuously placed in various agencies for the Field Work and they learn the functioning of agencies earlier than people pursuing graduation. The faculty members were approx 10-12 in number to a batch of 80-90 students. Each faculty member had 10 students from each Year and facilitated the Field Work accordingly. The faculty members were well qualified and experienced. The exams were moderate in nature and cannot be passed without studying.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was taken once a year, which included multiple facilities like internet, NSS Wing, NCC Wing, Campus Fee, Canteen Fee, Library Fee, Drinking Water Fee, Electricity Fee, Stationary Fee, Sports Equipment Fee etc. It was around 11-13K per Year. An examination fee was taken each semester approx 750/- per Semester.
Campus Life
The College had various Societies such as Drama Society, Dance Society, Theatre, Music Society, E-Cell Society, Entrepreneur Society, North East Society, Red Cross Society, Red Ribbon Club, NCC wing which had Navy, Army and Airforce Wings and NSS Wing which had multiple wings such as Green and Clean Squad, Media Team, Divyangjan Team, Digital Media Wing, Content Writing etc. Fests were held each year. The College had sports field for football, cricket, a separate basketball court, volleyball court and NCC parade ground. An online magazine is run by the students of NSS which is issued every month
