Dyal Singh College review by a geography hons. Student :- good college

Admission process is quite simple we need to form one form for all the colleges and can apply for the best one At my time when i take admission there is no such examination held , we take admission on the basis of 12th percentage You can apply for geography hons course just after doing 12tyh from humanities or any other backgrounds. Your percentage will be deducted if you don't have geography in class 12th . You can easily get application form and all the information regarding it on official du admission website ,you can fill it at home or at cyber cafe according to your ease

According to me the course curriculum is overall good i love to study geography n faculty members are well educated well trained and also experienced. Even if you don't like you professor teaching you can also change them by complaing I am a upsc aspirant and also interested in studying geography from 12th grade and as you know geography is very beneficial subject to be taken in mains in upsc At my time there is over admission so there are 123 students in my class but from second semester our section is divided n now it's quite good . Faculty is full of trained professors especially for geography some teachers are not so good in teaching but you can also change them by complaing Term exams held in every 6 months n their difficulty level is average. It is not so difficult to pass the exam . If you study one month prior to exam date you can easily pass the exams

In my course there are no such internship provided by the college . For other courses there are many but for geography hons. there isn't any such internship so i don't know the one But in the field of gis and remote sensing there are many jobs offered outside as it is highly needed in this time

From 5th semester one can become eligible for campus placement. Geography hons. student didn't get one because of lower scope in private companies in this subject but bcom hons. Eco hons. Bcom prog. Get many Dyal Singh College has a good reputation in getting great placements I want to prepare for upsc no other plans just want to focus on this

Fees is quite low as compared to other colleges . College gives you several opportunities for applying for scholarship and you can easily get them by giving certain test . Moreover for my course there is no campus job or internship available but for other courses like bcom hons. Bcom prog. Eco hons. Etc. There are many on campus job with stipend and internship available

Campus Life here is amazing ! My college has a huge campus , has a huge amphitheatre, ncc ground, basket ball court, football ground. Auditorium is not so good but seminar hall is big enough Priyadarshi is the annual fest of Dyal Singh n some tech fest like consensus is also held timely.. annual fest held in the month of May or June . There are lot of books and journals available in the library one can easily found what we are searching for I am not interested in sports related activities so i don't know much much but there are lot of extra curricular activities like debate , treasure hunt , poem recitation etc. Organised by different departments and societies Nss, ncc , roots ,zest these are some societies run by students there are only few there are a lot of societies you can pursue them easily by your interest
