ABC's of my college

I took admitted to dit university in BTech computer science which requires 60 percent of marks in class 12th physics, chemistry, maths, and English. I did not have to go through any entrance examination. The application form is available online on the college's official site and there are application fees of 1250 and then registration fees of 10000. There is a reservation for the home state students and some scholarships also but since I come from a different state I could not avail those. The admission process here is quite smooth.

I am pursuing BTech in computer science from dit university and I did choose this course because I have always had an interest in technology and stuff. The faculty to student ratio here is quite a decent which is 1:18. The faculty here are very qualified and many are PhDs and masters. The teaching method here comprises digital teaching and classroom teaching which is quite easy for students to understand. The semester exams here are done timely which comprise mid sem and end sem exams which are taken in a semester, the difficulty level here is moderate and more than 85-90 percent of students make it through it.

There are various opportunities for internships in our college, many companies such as IBM, Adobe, TCS, Accenture, and many more come here for an internship with a good stipend which varies from 5k to 40k, and accordingly chooses students based on their skills, the project they have completed such as drones, robots, etc.

Placements of dit university are quite decent, almost more than 85 - 90 percent of students who sit for placement in computer science stream gets placed. Usually, computer science has the highest placement in every college. Students get eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards. Various companies come here for campus placements which include amazon, adobe, TCS, Wipro, and many more, also around 1200 offers were made this year as of now. This year's highest package was 36.5 LPA which was probably offered by amazon and the work profile was SDE. The average package also went up this which was around 6.5lpa. More than 85 percent of students from CSE were placed and another branch placement was somewhere around 60-65 percent. After I get my degree then I would go for industry experience and work there.

My course is computer science and I pay 155000 per semester and 120000 as hostel fees annually. There are various scholarships too for students. College provides you scholarship based on marks you did score in your board examination, they usually start your scholarship if you have above 75 percent of marks in 12th standard, also on jee marks, domicile scholarship, merit-based scholarship (based on your performance in college academically). College also provides you with several internship opportunities and then after placements which is very decent.

The campus crowd of dit university is very diversified, you will find students from all over India and may find some international students also. Youthopia is the main fest of dit university and celebs come and perform which usually happens in November this year it was organized in April, tech fest here is also very interesting and many students participate in it. The library is too very organized you will find books on almost every subject and can easily have access to them and also you will find access to ebooks too. The classroom here is spacious and well maintained and digital smart boards are installed in every classroom. There are tournaments organized for various sports such as basketball, football, cricket, etc. There are various clubs in our college such as cultural clubs, literature, sports, etc.

I opted for a hostel and rooms here are quite spacious, you will find single-person, double-sharing, and triple-sharing rooms here which are semi-furnished. Meals here are provided four times a day and different varieties of food are offered here, which is up to the mark. If you want to go to the hostels you just have to fill out the hostel registration form and they will allow you a hostel room. Hostel fees is 120000 per anum.
