Remarks

My college has helped on explore alot. Before college i was a different person and now in completely changed, for the better.

Entrance Preview

I scored 95% and i chose this as I am into literature. I liked reading and analysing things. It helps me focus on everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course teaches from indian to Greek to latin philosophies. I learn about psychology, history, geography and literature in depth. We are taught about all countries and their literature. It enhances our knowledge and understanding of the subject. We have around 3 to 4 books in one paper. Which marks us on different aspects of the paper.

Internships Opportunities

It does not provide us with internships, but we have placement cell in our college which organises internship fair, it provides s with an opportunity to get internship.

Placement Experience

3.5

The opportunity provided by college is very good. Many companies come to college. I m not exactly sure of how much does the companies provide with freshers, but as far I have heard it is good because our college is situated in north campus, so good companies come here.

College Events

4

Our college celebrates many events and cultural festivals. Every Department and society have their separate annual cultural program inviting every student across delhi or more. Besides this we have three day annual festival once a year with first night as band performace then we have edm night and at last, third night as the star performance night. along with all this, there are day events also. Dance competitions, etc. We also have guest lectures or events during the year as it happens.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since I study in government college, that too in north campus, so our college is really popular. Our fee structure also enables children from all over startas of life to enroll, our fee varies between 8000 to 9000 depending on year. It includes everything, examination fee and cultural fee too.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships to students who are underprivileged. There are various short term benefits all available for different stratas of students.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is really happening, one day or other various activities are happening in college or around. Gender ratio is almost equal in our college, infact in my course you will find more of girls than boys. Students from all over the world come to study here, you get variety of students. We have different societies in our college, you have a hobby you will find a society for it. All of them are good and recognized.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I live in my own home so i have no idea about the hostel or mess facilities of my college. However, i have heard that hostel is good and provides all facilities to students. The wifi facility is really good which is also availed by all. Food in hostel canteen is delicious. All students prefer to go to hostel canteen instead of college canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

Our few alumni are very popular, like amitabh bachhan, kk and satish kaushik. Our alumni meet happens every year, it will happen on 25th march 2017 this year too. The seniors are also very helpful. They guide us and help us when needed.

Exam Structure

Exams in our course happens once in six months. We have semester system. After every six months, our syalbus changes. During those six months, we have internal examinations where we are marked out of twenty five, five marks are for attendance, ten marks for a test or assignment with rest ten for presentations. It leaves us with seventy five marks for external examinations. We don't have labs so we are pretty chilled.

Faculty

4

My department teachers are highly educated. There are doctrates, ansd some with mphil. They have vast knowledge, they taught us from writing a paper to presenting a paper in seminar. The teachers invite us to various lectures from guests, which helps us to enhance our knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
