Life at Satyawati

The eligibility of the course was the cut off till last year. The cut-off goes around 93 percent. The cut-off list usually closes after first list only for honours course especially economics or political science hons. Just turn your notifications for du's official website and you'll get all the updates about admission procedure. Follow some DU instagram pages like DUtoday. From this year I suppose they've kept the CUET entrance for admission in DU colleges. Hoping to see students that actually deserve the seat.

I wanted to pursue political science because I wanted to take up mass communication in the future and being politically aware is the first step. Also it felt like a safe option to choose this course as this gives me access to many career options. The student ratio in terms of gender is 50-50. It's just that at first it'll be very difficult for you to adjust because the college has a very diverse crowd in terms of culture. It'll be difficult to find people of your vibe. Join societies and make friends you'll eventually be okay. The faculty of political science is very well educated and teaching methods are good. Right now the college has just turned to Offline mode therefore the teaching is irregular. The classes don't happen regularly. Exams happen once every semester for political science hons. For other courses there are internal exams as well.

The fees is very negligible only 7000 per Year. Honestly the college doesn't provide any placements. There is a college society placement cell working to provide students with Internships and placements. But these are very average with maximum package of 2Lac p/a.

Different societies conduct different fests. The corporates and the Saksham are two societies whixh conduct fests in the month of April. The Library has a wide variety of books and is also equipped with AC. The college has facilities for various sports including cricket, football, volleyball court. Students will get multiple chances to showcase their talents in college. It's good in terms of extra curricular activities. CDF Satyawati, Enactus Satyawati are some social clubs you should join. Other than that we have a very good dance and drama society.
