Remarks
In my time there was a system of cut-offs on the basis of 12th board exam marks but now DU has come up with its entrance exam which is known as CUET. I am in the general category so I haven't availed any benefits due to reservation. The current admission process which is on the basis of the entrance exam is good. It is fair enough to judge the knowledge of the student and will let them allow to take admitted to the best possible college according to their marks in the entrance examination (CUET).
Course Curriculum Overview
I had been interested in chemistry since class 10. So by seeing my interest in chemistry my parents also allowed me to pursue chemistry honours. Since I am in an honours course and that too in an only girls college the strength of my class is not as much as it is in other colleges having the same branch. In my class, we are just 32 students and in the final year, there are only 23 students. And if I talk about the teacher then I'll say that there are 10-12 teachers in my department Only and that too excluding the lab staff. Teachers are highly qualified and highly aged, they all are doctors and so they are easily able to clear our doubts. Teachers are very supportive and cooperative. Term exams (external) are taken every 6 months and in between, we have our internals and assignments on the basis of which we are graded.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of my course are very legitimate in spite of that we have asked our principal ma'am to refund the lab and security charges from the fees during the lockdown period. Then the principal ma'am agreed and the students who have lost their earning members were exempted from the fees. Our college provides an annual scholarship provided that you are performing well in your class. This scholarship is also continued to the next year if you have maintained your position in the class and you are performing well in academics.
Campus Life
We have departmental fests and annual fest as well but due to corona, we haven't attended the annual fest of our college. We don't have any tech fest. Our library is huge you will get all the books from all the departments over there. The sitting area in the library is also awesome. Though you will not get any books for the preparation for competitive exams like(CDS or AFCAT) you will get the books of all the departments which are there in the college. Our classroom is having all the basic amenities like a desk's blackboard, chalk, duster and fan. We have a huge sports complex where we have a well-defined gym, table tennis and many more. There are many societies in the college so that the students can get a good exposure. Visakha is the organisation led by our college students in which they provide food to the poor people and provide education to the children who haven't attended the school.
