Remarks
Admissions are based on a merit basis and there is NO ENTRANCE EXAMINATION. Students with 87% and more in class 12 have a high chance to get admission to the B.Com course (General). There are reservations for Students under the Maharashtra board and other categories. B.Com (Hons.) is provided only from second year to students who have passed the first year without backlog in any subjects both in internal and external examination. Students can visit the official website to fill out admission forms and should be patient for results since merit lists are released even after the classes start.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course not only imparts us with the general knowledge about the subjects but also provides us with a choice (interdisciplinary subjects) to give us an extra edge over others. The faculty are very qualified and well informed although the faculty-student ratio is not good it won't be a hurdle during interactions. Exams are divided into a 25-25-20-30 basis in a single semester which includes assignments, presentations, and mid sems and final semester examinations.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement in their final year. 114 students placed in the year 2021 with an average package of 4 LPA which was lower than the previous year due to corona. Although most students don't appear on campus and pursue other professional courses since ample time is left after their everyday classes.
Fees and Financial Aid
Bcom students have to pay 30000 each year. Bcom Hons students have to pay 30000 in the first year whereas 50000 in the second and third year of their graduation which is a very good deal for such a reputable college. College also provides with few scholarships at the starting of each year. There is no compulsion for internships. College also provides a campus selection facility with salaries from 300000-to 650000.
Campus Life
Symbiosis has no shortage of fests, programs and seminars organized by students both educational and fun. A library, e- books and reading hall facility are provided by the college. Classrooms are although small and non AC but are fitted with all the requisites. There are no shortage of groups and clubs for all respective fields.
