All students get admission through jee mains. after clearing jee mains you have to participate in counselling process which has six normal rounds and two special rounds and accordingly to your rank you will get a college from all the nit's, iiit's and other govt. institutions. And every year this exam is conducted for students in the 12th class as well as for students who have passed the 12th class. Since,the admission process is so clear and transparent that there is no need of improvement in this
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course due to the increasing demand for this field and also interested in this branch. A class contain 80 students approx and has two sections for computer science. All the facilities are well qualified with PhD, and MTech in their respective subject. The exams are conducted for a duration of 1.5 months i.e. we have exams four times in a semester. The exams are really not very tough, they seem easy if are regular in classes and follow the instructions of teachers carefully.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in this College are according to the semester, every semester you have to pay for that semester and also the fees depend on what category you belong to,i.e. it is a very good news for economic weaker sections that they get relief in fee and they have to pay very less fee comparatively to the general students . There is 100% placement for computer science students in this College . around 200 companies come every year in our campus for placement.
Campus Life
We have many technical as well as annual fests like technosis and many other related to the culture of Assam like Bihu, posua etc. Asia's biggest library is present on our campus with the availability of thousands of books for students with well-maintained facilities. The classroom is also student-friendly and has all the facilities that a particular national college should have ..and we also have students from foreign countries like Kuwait etc which means the college has its name in foreign countries also. The sports activities are also available with a large ground for cricket and courts for badminton and table tennis. The social groups like gyansagar in our college are well organised and Fully active throughout the year
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is allowed when you go to the campus and submit valid documents. The hostel is good as compared to pg and another living source because in the hostel fee is not so much high and also you get the security along with all hostel facilities like electricity and other.
