Remarks
For admission, one needs to crack jee main with 96.5 percentile and above in the general pool for both home state and another state. In NITP four courses are available for engineering i.e, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. Courses are also available for B.Arch and Integrated MCA. Like in other NITs, here also 50% of seats are reserved for home state students and 15 %for the girl's category. First, the candidate should Qualify for JEE MAIN to get admission to NITP.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in Electronics and Communication Engineering and according to my rank, I got it. The girls and boys ratio in our branch is 1:5. The faculty is well qualified and well experienced. I will give 7.5 out of 10 to the faculty. There is mid-semester and end-semester examination. Some professors check the copies very tightly some of them check decently.
Internships Opportunities
We don't really get many opportunities for internships in our college. But still, hard-working students manage to get decent internships. Companies like Apple, Facebook, and L&T offer internships to students of NITP.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements after the 6th semester. There are many companies that come for placement like Goldman Sachs, Facebook, Infosys, L&T, and many more. This year there was 110 percent of offers came to our college for placement. In cse CSE Department , all students were placed and overall 70% students were placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure depends upon the annual income. If the parental annual income of the student is less than 1 lakh, then the student will get a 100% waiver in tuition fee. The students which have their parental annual income of more than 5 lakh have no waiver in the fee.
Campus Life
Campus life is decent, satisfying, not too much exciting, and not too boring. Due to the small campus area, we have only one small ground named Major Dhyan Chand Stadium. Events are going on at regular intervals. Also special events for couples. Hostel life is best. Adequate campus space for chilling and time pass
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provides a fan, a bed, an almirah, a chair, and a table. For 1st year, students get 3 seater or 2 seater rooms. Hostel for 2nd year is best. Two students get the same room. They have consecutive roll numbers and are in the same branch. Hostel life is very interesting and exciting. The hostel fee is 15000 per semester.
