MY GREENISH COLLEGE

To take admission to my college ( NIT SILCHAR) you need to crack it's entrance exam. You have to apply for it's entrance exam. Registration process is completely online. You can visit on website of NTA ( Nation Testing Agency) there you can register for entrance exan and also get information about application fees and application dates. For eligibility for the courses, you have to score more than its cutoff. There are some reservations in the admission process. The cutoff is given in the percentile system. For the GENERAL category cutoff marks is around 80 marks upon 300. similarly, OBC -around 65 marks, SC /ST-45 marks. The reservation Benefit is that you can get admission even at a low score. Your admission fees will be less. The admission process is completely online. After the declaration of the entrance exam result, You have to visit the website of JOSAA and apply for admission. You will get every detail of the admission process on the website. According to me, the admission process is well and good.

My branch is Computer Science and Engineering. I am interested in computer skills like gaming, web development, coding, etc that's why I choose this course. In my college, every facility is provided like labs, sports ground and kits, medical facility, hostels and mess and, well educated and skilled faculty. Faculty : student ratio is around 1:50. Faculties are well experienced (Ph.D. holders) and have good teaching skills. But, I want to mention one thing that, you can't totally depend on the faculty, you need to pay extra effort by itself. B.Tech is of 4 years course that is divided into 8 semesters. Every semester 2 main exams are conducted. Exams are not much easy but also not too hard. You need to focus on academic too for decent pointers. If you are a sincere student then getting a good pointer is not hard.

Fee structures are different for different semesters and categories of students. It also depends on the income certificates of the student. For SC, ST, and PWS students 67510 for 4 years similarly for students whose income is less than 1 lack -6 7510 for 4 years, for students whose income is less than 5 lack - 234174 and students whose income is more than 5 lack - 567510. There are many opportunities for scholarship, financial assistance, or campus jobs. College provides regional scholarships and many more. College also provides campus placements. Placements are also much better . Many good companies visit our college and offer a job. The placement percentage is also good. Computer Science and Engineering branch and ECE branches package are much greater relative to core branches. According to me, top NIT and IIT colleges in India are quite good compared to other engineering colleges.

Life in our college is like a vacation. Completely greenish campus, naturally friendly, big in the area ( 625 acres ), and full of resources. In our college, there are many opportunities to explore ourselves. The college organizes many fests, sports, & extracurricular activities. Two big fests of our college are TECNOSIS and POSUA. TECHNOSIS is celebrated in the month of October, this fests bring many opportunities like-technical skills, coding round, web development,robotics, machine learning, etc. Annual fests are FAREWELL and FRESHER'S PARTY. Asia's biggest library is inside our campus, which contains more than 5 lack books even if it's a digital library. Classes are comfortable and attractive, labs are provided. Sports competition is conducted like-cricket tournament, football, basketball, badminton,kho kho, etc. There are many groups and societies like CSS, GITHUB, GDSC, GYMKHANA UNION GROUP, etc. Clubs of my college are GYANSAGAR,ECHO CLUB,MUSIC CLUB,TRADING CLUB,SPORTS CLUB A,etc.
