Remarks

The CET is the required entrance exam. The course has a cut-off of 1769 according to 2020, with a percentile of 98.70. This cut off is for EWS candidates. For other castes, it varies. We need to apply for the cap rounds, through which, according to our preference, we get admitted to the college, and if you don't like the preference, you can apply for the next round. After getting selected, we need to accept the college, and after that, the college asks us to visit the college with all the necessary documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I have a keen interest in it and also because this was the only top-ranked college along with this course that I was able to get with my scores. The faculty are very qualified. All of them have done MTech from IIT's. The teacher's methods are also very good and easy to understand. There is 1 midterm exam and 1 Endterm exam in each semester. It wasn't that difficult to pass, but if you didn't study, then there might be a chance to fail.

Internships Opportunities

4

Morgan Stanley offers an 85k pm stipend with 3 members of internship offers. Samsung offers a 75k pm stipend with 8 members of internship offers. Along with companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro, they pick up students from VJTI.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 6th semester, students start getting placement. The highest package offered to the electronic branch was 52 lac/annum. 70% of students are placed, with the remaining 30% pursuing MTech at foreign universities. After getting my degree, my plan is to get a good job abroad and settle there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not that high. 84,000 is the per year fee for the open category. If you get a hostel, then it becomes easy to live, but you have to compensate with a standard of living as the hostels are not that well maintained. There are a lot of scholarships which we get in VJTI, for e.g., Young's Engineers Scholarship, Schindler's Scholarship, which help the students to study without any pressure of money.

Campus Life

5

There are lots of clubs in VJTI. For example, there is the Enthusia Club, which is for sports; the Pratibimb Club, which holds the annual concert, which is very big and everyone enjoys it to the max. The college has a good library, and access to all the books is very easy and available to all. College has 3 grounds, along with a basketball court. The sports club is so fascinating.

Hostel Facilities

4

For a hostel, there are not many facilities provided by the college. There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel. Hostel meals are very good and tasty and also healthy. Hostel registration is done through your ranks in CET. Only 6-8 students are able to get the hostel per branch. PG is available in the areas of Wadala and Matunga, but the cost is very high.

Interview Experience

4

There is no interview to get admitted to this college for B.Tech engineering. Simply, the only eligible criteria is to get a good score on the CET exam and 12th class pass.

During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.
