Remarks
I registered for keam and got a placement through it. Keam is relatively easy to crack. The application process was smooth and the placement was partially dependent on your 12th board marks too. Keam is much easier than jee.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good. The faculty are also more than ready to help out when in need. The schedule is a little heavy on the mind sometimes but otherwise, it's very good. You learn the basics of all other branches in the first year.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship opportunities here, ranging from thinkerhub to freelancing opportunities. A lot of companies provide internships in your specialization. Very good internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
You become eligible for campus placements from the third year, i.e. around 5/6 semester. You are given training regarding interviews and placements. The highest package ranges from 10 lakh pa and the average is around 5-6 lakh pa. The lowest would be around 4 lakh pa. Almost everybody gets placed so the placements here are very good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Financial assistance is provided based on scholarships. The fee structure is relatively affordable considering TIST is a private college. There are no campus jobs but by joining certain committees you are exposed to part-time and freelancing opportunities.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is a little lenient compared to school but it's more or less the same. Extra curricular activities are very good here. Especially the intercollege events. There is an annual fest called advay, held each year. Joining committees such as tinkerhub, etc, etc. Give you more chances to mingle with like-minded people within, as well as outside the college.
