Remarks

Admission to 50% of seats through KEAM examinations. Eligibility of KEAM is 60% for PCM in 12th examinations. Cut off usually around 40000-50000. KEAM allotes the seat based on your rank. Rest 50% seats are for management entries.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course to work in the software field. The faculty:student ratio is 1:46. All faculties have a minimum of masters degree and provides good teaching. Term exams are moderate and there is not much difficulty to pass.

Internships Opportunities

The college encourges the students to take part in various state-level and national-level internship programs. The students are allowed to participate individually or in group and faculties are allotted as mentors.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester (3rd year). Various top companies including TCS, HCL and other top companies from Infopark visits and numerous offer are made. More than 80% students get placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is on par with other top private engineering colleges in and around Kerala. The college provides scholarship based on 12th PCM marks and requires above 8.0 CGPA each term to continue the scholarship.

Campus Life

The college has an annual fest 'ADVAY' with various cultural programs. The CSE department conducts a tech fest every year. Other tech related programs are conducted by Tinkerhub, IEEE & IEDC. The college has a library with books for every department.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
