College management is very poor. One have to suffer a lot to get their work done if they have no reliable source in management. Many of the rules of college are old and they must be changed.

I have taken AIEEE exam now called as JEE MAIN and secured state rank of 381.Being the best university of uttarakhand I have taken admission in GBPAUT, Pantnagar through UTU counselling.

There is no research for BTech students but if u are interested in research then u can ask faculties to work under them. There are some good faculties who have research experience and willing to give all to students. They can help u with the research. Course structure is good but u have learn things by yourself.

No internship is provided by college. Placement cell does not give much efforts for that. But funds are provided by government for industrial visits.

For ECE no placement in core companies. In 2016 only core company which had visited our campus was BEL, KOTDWARA. Only one student got placed in it. Besides that students get mass placement in TCS. In 2016 3 startups also came for placement. Other than those, no other companies visited the campus for ECE. Placement system really sucks in Pantnagar.

There are many societies present at college level and university level which conducts many events different at college and university level. At college level technical festival COLOSSEUM is conducted in which many events run continuously for three days. Cultural fest of college is ACCOLADE. At university level SPICMCAY, Pantnagar chapter conducts DHAROHAR. Besides that branch chapters conducts their own events and other societies present in the college conducts their own events.

Pantnagar is cheapest engineering college (money wise) in the country. One can complete his/her degree in around 2.5 lakh. My fees was 30,000 per semester including hostel, food and tuition fees in 2016. Also there are separate fees for students whose parents have yearly income less than 2 lakhs. These seats are called as TFW Seats. Students who get admission under TFW have to pay food charges only.

No neither college provides scholarship nor loan facilities are offered by college as fees is very less here so there is no need for such things.

University has pollution free campus. Gender ratio is about 60:40. Workshops are conducted by different societies at regular interval. Societies like SAE, BAHA and ROBOTICS CLUB, Pantnagar dominates in college. Sports facilities are very good. Many sports events are conducted time to time on hostel, college and university. Girls are not allowed outside their hostels after 6:30.

There are separate hostels for each year of B.Tech. In first and second year rooms are in sharing of three while in third and final year rooms are single. But this combination may vary because number of seats are increasing and hostels have same number of rooms so some students in third and final year have to share their rooms. Food in mess is ok. But the good thing is subsidized snacks like lays, buiscits, namkeens and beverages are provided in mess also eggs are provided at subsidize rates.

Alumni network is not that good but seniors can help u a lot if u have good interaction with them. But one have to selective with the seniors as some will help while others can divert from your goal.

Exam are frequent but structure is not that hectic. Besides some lab equipments are not present so labs are not frequent. Passing marks are 50% one of the highest percentage in country. But all the questions asked in exam will be taught by faculty in classroom. So u can easily pass exams.

Admission in B.Tech course are directly base on JEE Main score. For getting admission one have to go through uttarakhand state counselling comes under UTU. Generally notification comes in june for counselling. There are two rounds of online counselling and then spot round which takes place in pantnagar.

Faculty will help if anyone asks them. But they won't give efforts from their side. Some faculties will give efforts and students won't give their all. Other than that all faculties are very knowledgeable and content of course covered by them will be of quality of GATE.
