Remarks

There are 3 ways one could apply for the course. First is through UPESEAT exam which is the most preferable way to reserve a seat in college. The second is via. 12th class percentage and the 3rd one is via. JEE main scores. The Application form is easily available on UPES's official website, whose fees could be between 1-1.5k. The application generally closes around mid-August. A 33% concession is given to the students having domicile certificates, and 28% to the girls taking admission. There is no major improvement that could be made in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My opted course, B.Tech CSE (Hons.) spez AIML, has a vast future lying ahead of it. With numerous opportunities and a secure future with my major interest, this was my course to go. The ratio could be figured out by one teacher teaching a class of 30. Faculties are mostly doctorates in their respective field and most of them are highly experienced. Teaching methods are innovative with a focus on practical implementations. Exams are happened 2 times a semester with continuous evaluations going throughout the semester. Any student trying their moderately best would be able to pass the exams easily.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

At the internship level, the roles of Scientist, Researcher, Developer, Analyst and else are offered. Projects are given that work in the real life scenarios and produce outputs over practical implementations.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are officially eligible from the 7th semester. The highest packages have been given at 50 lac/annum at the SDE role, else average package is variable for different departments, for instance, 8.5 lac for AIML. Around 100% of students that are eligible in sitting in the placements get placed. After getting this degree, I am hopefully looking forward to pursuing masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Comparatively the fees are higher than other institutes, someone pursuing B.Tech would have to give around 20-30 lac including all the services. The Scholarships are provided for the following things: 1. Domicile 2. Girl Student 3. Excellent Academic Performance 4. Exceptional Boards/Jee percentage. A huge number of companies came to campus for the internship as well as placement purposes with stipends variable.

Campus Life

4

There is an annual fest, named Uurja as well as a mini-fest conducted around May and November. As for the tech fest, there are several Hackathons running throughout the year. A vast variety of books are available in a relatively huge library. Sports and extracurriculars are often preferred and supported. Various social groups as well as student chapters running through UPES-CSI, and else.

Other Applied Colleges

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, School of Technology - [PDPU SOT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

Facing the covid scenario, I wasn't able to visit the campus and had a first hand experience of the campus and other aspects that turned out to be a major reason of me not opting for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
