KMC, great placements, poor infrastructure

You need to fill out the admissions form where you write all your personal details, parents' details, school information and the class 10th and 12th percentages. The percentages are that of your best of the four subjects. Certain courses have some subjects mandatory to be included in the best of four per cent. Some subjects like Physical education are not allowed to be added to the best of four. In certain courses like B.A. (H) economics, a student must have done mathematics in class 12th and should've passed with minimum percentage criteria. There were no entrance exams. The admission for me was purely based on the cut-offs released by the University.

Economics Honours course is a very sought after and valuable course. It has a vast scope and hence the right choice for me. The faculty is not that large. The number of students enrolled in each course varies but for a course like eco hons and b.com hons where the batch size is bigger than the rest, the faculty-to-student ratio is pretty bad. The faculty at the college is highly qualified although not every teacher is a good teacher. Teaching methods vary from teacher to teacher but it mostly sticks to the book. the entire academic session was fast-tracked and the term exams were also held well within time in order to synchronise this session with the other sessions. The exams were definitely more difficult than in previous years.

DATA ANALYTICS, BUSINESS RESEARCH, AUDIT, CONSULTING, INVESTMENT BANKING, FINANCE, WEB DEVELOPMENT, HUMAN RESOURCES, CONTENT CREATION, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ET CETERA OR SOME OF THE PROFILES FOR WHICH THE PLACEMENT SO BRINGS INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDENTS. D SURE HAS VISITED THE CAMPUS WITH A STIPEND OF 50,000 PER MONTH. There are number of fellowship opportunities also brought by organisations like teach for India, Avishkar, Young India, India fellow et cetera. A number of NGOs like Hamari Pehchan, connect for, Aashmann foundation et cetera also hired for volunteer ship with valuable incentives

Students are eligible for placements after their second year. For the session 2021-2022, 165 plus were placed by the placement cell of the college. More than 175 companies of at an average of INR 6.38 LPA. DE Shaw, Deloitte USI, Accenture, Genpact today's consulting LLP, Paytm, Grofers, Ben and Co, HCL technologies et cetera are some of the prominent recruiters. DE Shaw offered the highest package this year valued at INR 23 LPA. The gross package came to a whopping INR 17 crores.

KMC's fee structure is average and on par with other Delhi University colleges. The fees are fairly low and very affordable for most students. There is a provision for financial aid for students, but I am not as familiar with its details

Delhi University campus has its own charm which attracts so many students to this university in the first place. KMC has a number of societies of which students can be a part of. There are societies to suit everyone's interests. Societies are central to most students' life here at DU.
