Remarks

College environment was so good and studious. one can stay as much as long they want to have a discussion with their respective teachers. Faculty is so experienced out of the blue they have such a humor and knowledge which you can use whole of your life. Over all it will be the honor to graduated from this college.

Entrance Preview

My score was 87% and through cut off i got admission in this prestigious college. This college has such a fantastic faculty, who will be always ready to help you. who take their job seriously and really make an effort to engross students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure was to good believe me guys i just loved the syllabus of fyup. Our course basically based upon the century. we had literature from thirteenth century to twenty first century. In our course we had british , american , indian literature and so on.

Internships Opportunities

It might be possible. I am not so sure about internship. No such internship was available during my batch.

Placement Experience

3

placement of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa college is quite average. its totally depend upon you and your marks. companies do come but the packages are not very high .If you have such a good confidence and ability to compete so you can give walk in interviews.

College Events

2.5

The college celebrates its foundation day, fresher's party, college annual festival. All these events see active and booster participation from students and the teachers as well. Activities included NSS and NCC is also quite active. Students used to take their training in the college. Events are quite good they invite so many known singers and actor for the program.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was INR 16000/- per year . Its not such a expensive fee if you are going to take admission in any of DU colleges. Its excluded the exam fees which was 1600/- per semester. Overall is a feasible college you can afford it easily. For your convenience there is also a option which made it convenient known as fee concession.

Fees and Financial Aid

DU fees are very minimal , one can easily pay this. Scholarship is also available in khalsa for that you have to score more than 60% in the first semester. secondly there is a another option for you which is fee concession and to get this you have to face a interview conducting by the college itself in which you have to tell them the reason for fee concession

Campus Life

2.5

Everyone is free to register in any society and organizing events. There are academic societies such as Kirt , Vanaj , Encore and more . there are also other cultural societies like Nepathya, photobug , music and more...there is also a confession page on which you can write about someone and something.

Hostel Facilities

2

Food quality is quite good in the college. there is a canteen where you can eat burger , pizza sandwich , choley rice and so on . Pg is depend upon the student budget and on his or her convenient. There are few option also available for foody person. My time famous point was C point. Its the place where you can meet the person whom you did not see in whole semester lectures.

Alumni/Alumna

Basically alumni network depends upon you . If you have such a interpersonal and friendly nature you can create a social circle with your seniors. Well my seniors were too good . they helped me to get some rare book relevant to your course which can enhance your knowledge.

Exam Structure

Labs are quite good and large but the connectivity of wifi is too poor. one cannot make their projects in the labs because of the poor connectivity. Exam sitting and structure was too good. The date and timing notification you can get from the website and also mention on the college notification board.

Admission

I got admission through cut off which is such a easy process to get admission.Nowadays they are conducting some entrance test for particular degree. That was such a hot day . sun was in such a fiery mood that day. we were in a queue waiting for our chance. There were some volunteers who helped me out to completed their formality. After completed everything , I got admission in such a well famous college.

Faculty

4

The teacher are experienced and come from such a knowledgeable background. I was used to take some lectures regularly because of the teachers who were teaching me. They made a fusion of comedy cum literature lectures that much that no one can think about yawning easily.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
