Zakir Husain Delhi College - A legacy of having best college since 300 years

This year DU adopted criteria for admission to its colleges through the Common University Entrance Test conducted by National Testing Agency. Candidates have to match the cutoff set by DU. They also need to fill out the application form of Delhi University on its official site from which they can choose their dream college on the basis of the cutoff. This year CUET pattern will weigh every aspirant on the same scale. They have to clear the cutoff to get admitted to the college. The only benefit of reservation at Delhi University is getting college admission even if we have low marks. So all castes and social groups except the general category avail reservation benefits. The fee structure depends on the course and college you have chosen to study but in my college, the fee is 9475 per year.

This course has been demanded for the past 7-8 years and gives students an opportunity to socialize and interact with people on a mass level. It increases the analytical thinking of students and their perspective on day-to-day businesses. In every course every year, there are 3 sections of classes and the class consists of 40-50 students in general. All the teaching staff is highly qualified and at least completed their masters from the very recognised Jawaharlal Nehru University. The exams are conducted semesterly and are very easy to pass because every student just needs 33% to clear and pass the exam.

There are many tech and finance companies that come to give internships to students for which stipend value is about 10000 per month. They recruit them via an interview process for which the notice is published on the college website to inform every student.

The fee structure is moderate; everyone can avail of the fees of course, and if anyone doesn't, they can fill out the costs concession form to get some relief in prices. There are numerous state and national scholarship schemes which can be availed by students to benefit their expenditures on study.

DU organises many cultural fests in a year like engifest etc. Zakir Hussain Delhi College has the most extensive library in Delhi University having more than 150000 books on the diverse subject matter. Every class is furnished with projector and boards. One desk is allotted to each student. Zakir Husain Delhi College has the best Football team in the whole Delhi University and there are various sports other than this like cricket, basketball and table tennis. There are multiple societies to take part in to increase one's skills. Our college maintained a student-run blog on which articles publish on a regular basis.
